Creating a REAL VALUE free directory list, dare to join ?

Now with pratically 100's of Free Directory Lists out there, what could I possibily mean by a REAL VALUE free directory list ?

Ok, to even get you thinking in that direction let me ask you a question.

What makes your time a big waste with free directory submissions ?

I practically submit to a few thousand free web directories on a monthly basis and there is this one thing that bother me the most.

The fact that my link will never be reviewed in a few hundred of those. Yes, its a fact that in some directories the free link submit is a farce.

People want the free submision traffic and the backlinks from the hundred of free web directory lists, but never are a free web directory in real sense.

They use the free submit option as a means to get free traffic and PR and pick up a few paid submissions along the way.

Also, as I undertake directory submission work for a few client every month, I wanted to create a REAL VALUE free directory list that would justify their money and my time spent on such submissions.

So here I am.

This list will exclusively contain web directories that REALLY Review and Add QUALITY free submission to their directory index.

This directory list would be split in two parts as such:

1. Directories reviewing within 10 days of submission

2. Directories reviewing within 10 - 30 days of submission

So if you are a free web directory owner who really reviews free submissions and with speed. Please post your web directories for inclusion on this list.

Trust me, we will soon have a cult following.

p.s. I am personally going to verify your claims of a quick review as i always have a few client sites in my kitty to submit too. NO FAKE CLAIMS PLEASE

I am accepting free submissions in exchange for a backlink at tech-directory.net, since from personal experience I know that not everyone has money to spend on website promotion.

But to avoid the spam that comes with allowing free submissions I have modified the script to verify that the linkback page exists and that it contains the *exact* backlink code *before* accepting the submission. That is probably not going to make my site popular with people doing bulk submissions - but what the hey - but I don't think it's too much to ask people to spend a bit of time as an alternative to money.

Since my intention in creating this directory was to create a useful internet resource for ordinary people not an SEO tool for webmasters I have no compunction in rejecting submissions that I think are junk sites or don't fit any of my directory's categories.

If despite all that you still want to add my directory to your list go right ahead.

Since I don't get a ton of spam I usually process submissions within one or two working days (would probably be quicker if IS would actually notify me when submissions are received - for the paid ones of course I get an email from PayPal to spur me into action.)

I salute those who are willing to accept completely free submissions, but unfortunately the nature of the world we live in is that you open yourself up to a lot of spam and low quality submissions, and weeding through them is something that I for one can't afford the time to do.

I would be interested but I don't know if I fit your requirements as I deal with only real estate in Spain but I could open it up for more than just Spain if you think I could benefit from this?

I have sat on the directory for too long now and would love to get it going as it seems like a waste, plus there is only so much you can do for real estate in Spain! Maybe it would be better if I opened it up, I never expected to make any money from it and it wasn't my intention - so if my directory is any good to you please contact me.

Ahhh. Ok. But I have one coming out that is totally free and absolutely no payment for a listing just if someone has a quality site to add then it can be added. Its not a DMOZ standard review though but more of an acceptable standard rather than the all acceptance mode that most free directories have.
